You know what I love? I love it when you mom waits till the LAST minute to tell you something.
My mother told me today, that she cannot pay for my college tuition or books. So I have to get a loan, no problem. I just wish she would have told me SOONER than now, so that I could have made preparations.
Ugh, just let me vent.

Ehh.
So last night wasn't one of the best I have had. I started watching my old dinner theater tapes because I am going to sing one of the songs for an audition that I am going to do. When I started watching them, I couldn't help by notice my friend Jessica. Jessica died in October of this year, and it hit me hard.

Me =)
Oh wow, where to begin? Well my name is Kevin VanMatre, I live in southern Illinois in a small town of West Salem. My family? Well, we are the typical family. They annoy the HELL out of me, but then again, I love them. I wouldn't trade them for the world. Money? Yes. The world? No.
My mother, Connie VanMatre, is a Registered Nurse at Wabash Memorial Hospital in Mt. Carmel Illinois. She is the typical mother. She cleans all the time, and she gets annoyed when her children don't do what they are supposed to do right away.
My father? Alan VanMatre, well, we didn't always see eye to eye, but now I am his favorite. Ask him, he will tell you. He used to work in the oil field, until he broke his foot. He is on crutches at the moment, so he really isn't doing much but sitting on his ass. I still love him though =).
I have two brothers, one is 29 and the other is 21. Travis, (29) is living in Olney Illinois, and going to school to be something. I am not too sure what it is called, so I won't even mention it. Adam, (21) well, let's just say that he is living at home, no job, and I am pretty sure he isn't going back to school in the Spring. Money issues.
Now me? Well I already told you that I am Kevin VanMatre. I am 19 years old, and I live in the SMALL town of West Salem, Illinois. I am 6'4", and well, we won't talk about how much I weigh, it is unnecessary information. I am currently enrolled at Olney Central College working on getting my Associates in Sciences and Arts. I really don't need it, but I am taking classes so that I won't have to take once I get to Eastern. There I will be studying Biology, hopefully getting my Masters in Biology eventually. I am unemployed, and I am in DIRE need of a job. I am on a Choir scholarship at OCC, and I love it there. I will miss all of my friends when I move to Charleston to go to college.
I have a lot of pet peeves, and there isn't time to post them all now, but trust me, throughout my blog you will find out every single one of them =).
I NEVER say I am wrong, because I am stubborn like that. I will fight until the other person gives up. Usually it works, but if it doesn't, I just walk away.
I am not a fighting type of person, even though it may seem like I am. I hate fighting, because I think it just causes unnecessary roughness.
I love piercings. I have been getting them since I was 17. They always change though, I get them thinking that I will look hot, but then take them out because I realize that I don't look hot with them. I currently have 5 piercings. Each lobe gauged to 2's, I have my conch, and my industrial. Now, some people think the industrial is only one piercing, but fuck that shit. Once you get it, and realize that TWO fucking needles go through your skin, you will then say it is two piercings =).
My best friends? Yeah I have some. I love them each in their own ways.
Caitlin. Oh wow, where to begin. I have been friends with this girl for going on five years now. She means the world to me, and I wouldn't trade her for ANYTHING, yes even money (though, I do regret not selling her for the right price ;)). From random Chinese nights, to just going to Wal-Mart, because I feel the need to walk and talk. She has been through many phases of me, and she has stuck with me through them all. I love her =)
Kayla. I remember sending you a text message saying this, "I knew that day when I picked you as a best friend, I made the right choice." And I did. This girl means the world to me. She tells me like it is, in a way nobody else can. She tells me when I am being an ass, and I stop. She listens to me when nobody else will, because she loves our friendship THAT much. I cannot wait to move in with you in the fall, and spend four years of our lives together (with Brittany of course). Thanks for being there babe.
Brittany =), I love you. You are amazing. I remember for our birthdays, you couldn't keep it in what we were doing, and I love you for this. You ALWAYS make amazing plans, and follow through with them. Most people don't do this (not saying Caitlin and Kayla don't), but thanks. You always make time for your friends, and it seems like now a days, friends are all people can look to when they need help.

I am a HUGE fan of neopets <3, I love going on this website =). IT IS FOR ADULTS TOO! Yes, I do mean this. I know more people over the age of 18 that play on there than under. I get iced a lot so I won't post my username, because it could change within the month or so lol.
